Short answer: take the ferry from Rassada Pier. It’s about ฿600–700, or about ฿450 on the 08:30 and 13:30 early-bird departures when that pricing is offered. Speedboats save an hour for about ฿850. Budget ฿20 for the Tonsai pier fee, plus ฿400 if you visit the national park areas (Maya Bay).
The fares, with sources
- Rassadapier.net (agent, loaded 18 Oct 2026): departures at 08:30, 11:00, 13:30, 13:45 and 15:00, arriving about 2 hours later. Adult ฿650 (฿700 on the 13:45), child (3–9) ฿550.
- OutThailand (guide, updated 28 Jul 2026): ferry ฿600 one way / ฿1,200 return, early-bird ฿450 / ฿900 on the 08:30 and 13:30, speedboat ฿850 / ฿1,700 (early-bird from ฿800). It says the gate closes 15 minutes before departure and is strictly enforced.
The two sources differ by ฿50–150 for the same sailing, which is normal with agents. Compare the final total, including pier transfer.
Fees on arrival
- Tonsai pier / island cleaning fee: about ฿20 per person, per ko-phi-phi.com.
- National park fee: for park areas such as Maya Bay, the foreign adult fee is ฿400 (child ฿200), separate from your ferry ticket, per the same source. Tours sometimes include it. Check before booking.

Getting to Rassada Pier
The pier is on Phuket’s east coast near Phuket Town. Allow 45–60 minutes from Patong, Kata or Karon in traffic, plus 30–45 minutes for check-in, so an 08:30 ferry means leaving around 06:45.
